Most of Love is Lost

I have been practising the Four Agreements since the start of this year.

And I have not been very successful at all.

Not even with the First Agreement: Be Impeccable with Your Word.

It is much harder than I imagined.

The first doodle of 2018 is inspired by Don Miguel Ruiz’s book, The Four Agreements.

And of course, the greatest poet philosopher, Khalil Gibran.

And, my failures and mistakes.

Day 303 – April 3, 2013

It’s a super short week here in Hong Kong.
Two days after going back to work, we get another holiday tomorrow.

It really does feel like the weekend.

On this day, I am thankful for…

1. A nice daughter and mother time over lunch.

2. Discovering a possible milonga venue.

3. Getting my workshop next week sorted out.

4. A great coaching session for my TEDx speaker! (Yes! I get to train the TEDx speakers!)

5. An unexpectedly fun pre holiday evening with Nadia, Bradley, Olivier and his friend Geoff.

6. Coming home to a very happy puppy!

7. Reading something that made me smile.

8. Watching an amazing video that is beyond inspiring.

9. Knowing that tomorrow morning I can sleep in!

10. That it’s been a while now and I am doing OK.

This time last year I was so filled with expectations.
To see you again.
To enjoy the cherry blossoms with you.

One year later, this scene will never happen again.
But I am OK.

There will be more cherry blossoms.

Day 275 – March 6, 2013

Life is never dull.
Life is always filled with drama.

Well, at least my life feels this way!
Yet, the things that I am grateful for makes me smile and go on.

I am thankful for…

1. Courage – to stop what is not good for me.

2. Strength – to soldier on.

3. Wisdom – to know which battles are worth fighting for.

4. Humour – to find hilarity in the toughest situations.

5. Friendship – to know that your love for me is free from judgement.

6. Family – to be there for me, with no questions asked.

7. Calmness – to look at the storm and not be bothered.

8. Quietude – to find peace in the noise.

9. Discipline – to not let outer calamity spoil my inner tranquility.

10. Love – to know that love can conquer all.
